Potemkino is a film production company focusing on the new generation of Belgian directors with an authentic voice to nurture talent with vision, innovation, and originality... and to champion these elements towards success and commerciality.

Potemkino is keen on exploring new possibilities created by the digitalization of all versatile media including film, developing new formats specifically developed for cross media platforms and looking for new distribution channels to reach out to and get in touch with the international audiences looking for quality content.

Potemkino was founded in 2004 by Daniël Lamberts and Peter De Maegd and is committed to encourage cultural diversity  in its productions.





Bio Daniël lamberts

Daniel Lamberts was already an acknowledged playwright and scriptwriter for Belgian TV at the age of twenty. He also followed scriptwriting courses at UCLA (Comedy Writing) and at the UIA, University of Antwerp (Dutch Literature). He became a member of the Brussels-based film collectives Polymorfilms and Claxon United.
In 2002 his first short “djU!” won the jury prize and the audience prize at the international short film festival of Leuven, Belgium. After that he made three other shorts “Gender”, “Kadogo” and “Find the freak”. All of them selected at numerous international festivals.
In the meantime, Daniel co-wrote his first feature “Ellektra” and is currently writing his first feature “Django” (which has been selected for the North by Northwest and EAVE course) with the support of the Flemish film fund VAF.

Bio Peter De Maegd
As a producer Peter De Maegd was involved in numerous international short and feature film productions and television series where he played a key role as a manager of the structural organization and financial administration.
During his studies he started online video service indymedia.be, where video news items were published on the net on daily basis.
In 2004 he founded Potemkino with Daniel Lamberts.
